It’s been a milestone few weeks for Nexus Communities in Geelong; one of connection, collaboration, and tangible progress toward our vision of creating sustainable, modular homes for communities in need.

Our team has now officially moved into the historic Ford Factory in Geelong. This expansion strengthens our ties to the local community and grows our manufacturing base. The Ford Factory base marks a new chapter for Nexus Communities: a great opportunity to bring together our partnerships, create more local jobs, and deliver sustainable modular housing at scale.

We’re also proud to announce a new partnership with Bunnings. This alliance will help us access materials and support for projects that make a real impact across the state. Every collaboration like this helps us do what we do best — build safe, sustainable, and scalable housing.

In late September, Nexus joined industry leaders at Future Building Materials: Innovation & Circularity, an ICN Victoria event in collaboration with the University of Melbourne. The evening was filled with powerful ideas about circular design, low-carbon construction, and the role of clean-tech manufacturing in Australia’s housing future. As a result, these insights continue to inform and enhance our pod designs. In turn, they help us integrate the latest sustainable design principles and building practices.

Looking ahead, we’re forging new partnerships, pushing innovation in our pod designs, and working toward a future where community housing is within reach for all. Each of these steps brings us closer to a connected, compassionate housing model where innovation and empathy go hand in hand.

Together, we’re not just building pods. We’re building futures.
